Saints & Children is the musical expression of wonder, pain, hope, and life experiences of four people with the last name Tillman. Ezra, Joanna, Micah, and Nathan have been writing, recording, and playing music together for four years now. They enjoy using a variety of instruments, including vintage analogue synths, guitar, piano, and anything else that happens to be lying around. They have released one EP and one full-length album, and have no plans of ever stopping their musical endeavors.

"Joy E has affected my life in that this music has been my soundtrack for the past 11 years. There have always been parts of joy e that are relevant to my life at any given time--my hopes, frustrations, fascination with the past and maps and fantasy (and cream puffs). I think joy e is also a very strong influence on me musically--I fell in love with the idea of The Perfect Pop Song through my experience with je and always strive for that when I'm writing music myself. I may never get there, but I enjoy trying."

"This was my favorite song for a long time, and I still really love it (especially the line "you can be my home"). It's one of those very quintessential je songs--the lyrics, melody, everything. We thought it would be fun to try to "saints&children-ize" it, while still retaining the essence of the song."
