"I had known about Joy Electric since '96, but after falling in love with The White Songbook in 2001 I've been closely following Ronnie's work ever since. Although nothing has ever topped the brilliance of that single album, I've always enjoyed the new direction he has taken ever since. I've chosen Dance to Moroder because it's the definition of what Ronnie is constantly striving for: being simple and catchy. It's also one of the few songs he's made specifically for dancing, despite promising himself to "never have a song with the word 'dance' in its title." I didn't try to do anything too outrageous with my version of it, since I'm not interested in fixing what isn't broken. I gave the instruments a little more room to breathe when it came to solos and freedom from the score - a tribute to the complexity in The White Songbook with a touch of a live concert feeling. Although my main focus is in Graphic Design, I still find time to fulfill my musical side. I have created a handful of albums including Pixel Vision ('05), and the recent Jessica and the Silver Eclipse ('07). I was pretty thrilled to be able to merge my love of art and music through an animated music video, and I hope to take this love somewhere special and unique someday." |
