Cut The Red Wire was created in 2004 by Andy Bird, the one and only member of the band, as a way to blend his love of music and art. By bringing together electronic beats and strong melodies Cut The Red Wire weaves a world of bright colors and brilliant imagery, much in the style of the paintings that are produced at each live performance. Cut The Red Wire has so far released a full length album entitled 'Be Still Oh Child of Earth, All Heaven is in Your Hands' (Friendly Arctic/Plastiq Musiq) and an Ep entitled 'The Silence of the Sea' (Friendly Arctic)
"The influence of Joy Electric on my song writing and really my whole life has been rather large. I remember hearing bands like the Chemical Brothers and Prodigy when I was quite a bit younger, coming from my brother's room and remembered loving the sounds but not being interested in what they were talking about. So the moment I first saw the video for Monosynth I think I fell in love. I couldn't believe there was a Christian band making electronic music and good electronic music at that. It was only a matter of time before I bought my first synth. A Moog Prodigy, the very same synth Ronnie posed with on the cover of Robot Rock. It didn't really matter to me that I had no idea how to play it, or any other keyboard, for that matter." "I choose May All Saints because I wanted to do a song not only that I liked, but a song that had an impact on my life. I remember having first bought We Are The Music Makers and for some reason that track stuck out to me from the start. After the words had sunk in a little the song became a great source of encouragement to me. I don't know entirely why, I just remember feeling like it was a song filled with worship, and I loved it for that." http://www.myspace.com/cuttheredwire
